Carlos Cisco is an ENNIE Award-winning screenwriter and tabletop role-playing game designer specializing in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and action-adventure. He was a designer on Critical Role’s Daggerheart, which earned five honors at the 2026 ENNIE Awards, including Gold awards for Best Game and Best Rules. Carlos spent two seasons on the writing staff of Paramount+’s Star Trek: Discovery, writing episodes for Seasons 4 and 5, including “…But to Connect” and “Mirrors.” His feature credits include the supernatural thriller The Black Demon, starring Josh Lucas, on which he received a “Story By” credit, and his television work also includes Hulu’s East Los High. An accomplished TTRPG creator, Carlos has additionally contributed to Triangle Agency, Star Trek Adventures, MCDM’s Draw Steel, and independently created the bestselling Daggerheart Western supplement Pistolheart. He is currently developing several original film and television projects across the genre space.
